Jay Budai has taught at COMO Shambhala Singapore since 2008. A certified Level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher, Jay has been immersed in the Iyengar tradition since 1987 and completed his intensive teacher training in 2001 at the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Centers of San Diego. His studies have taken him repeatedly to Pune, India, where he trained directly with B.K.S. Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar. Jay brings depth, discipline and an uplifting sense of humour to every class—supporting students to build strength, stability and awareness, while deepening their personal connection to yoga.

Kenny has taught at COMO Shambhala Singapore since 2011. He began his practice in 1995, and has won multiple yoga championships in India and taught numerous students, including Indian naval divers. He is a physical education graduate of Jiwaji University in India, and Gordhandas Seksaria College of Yoga and Cultural Synthesis. During his years of teaching, he has deepened his knowledge through workshops led by the likes of Shri Dharma Mitra, David Life and Sharon Gannon, Andrey Lappa, Geshe Michael Roach, Andrei Ram Om, Vikas Malkani and many more.

Adeline Tien (E-RYT 500, YACEP) has more than two decades of teaching experience and has been sharing Restorative Yoga in Singapore since 2008. In 2017, she pioneered Singapore’s first Restorative Yoga Teacher Training at COMO Shambhala Singapore and remains a leading educator in rest-based and therapeutic practices. Adeline is an Advanced Relax and Renew® Restorative Yoga trainer, Singapore’s only certified Yoga Tune Up® teacher, a Level 1 iRest Yoga Nidra instructor, a Reiki practitioner, and has trained in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. She is known for her compassionate, precise teaching and her ability to create a safe, nourishing space for deep rest and healing.

Azmi has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years. His interest in anatomy informs his yoga practice, which includes Ashtanga and Yin Yoga. Azmi is also a practicing Sound Healer, with a Level 2 Diploma in Sound Healing from the Sound Healing Academy in the United Kingdom. He has a diploma in Ashtanga Yoga Instruction at the Al Holistic School of Sivanda, and is certified in Yoga Anatomy with Tiffany Cruickshank from Yoga Medicine International.

Trained and certified by Dr Jean from Australia for Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond Yoga in 2010, Lay Peng received her YogaKids Certification in 2004. She also received certification and training from Sonia Sumar, of Yoga for the Special Child, and Master Sivaram in the Sivananda yoga tradition. Her training in yin yoga and Yoga Dance has included learning from renowned international teachers, including Cyndi Lee, Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, Sean Corne, Ellen Heed, Amy Ippoliti, Ross Rayburn, Patrick Creelman, Carlos Pomeda, Noah Maze and Martin Kirk.

Mitzi has completed the Universal Yoga Teachers Training (300-hours) and the International Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course in Kerala, South India. She also won 2nd place in the Dayal International Yoga Championships (2014). Mitzi is trained in the Sivananda tradition and holds certifications in Universal Yoga, Mindful Birth modalities, as well as Synergy Yoga intensives. With over 15 years of professional experience, her approach is grounded in a spiritual connection to the discipline.

Maniam has taught yoga since 1991 and began his journey with the Bihar School of Yoga in Singapore in the early 1980s. He completed Teacher Training at Vivekananda Yoga Institute, in Bangalore, India, and furthered his training with an International Yoga Teacher's Training course (Sapta Yoga) in Nepal and an Advanced Teacher's Training in Kaivalyadhama Institute in Pune, India. Maniam has also actively sought out tutelage under renowned international teachers like A.G Mohan (for Svasta Yoga and Ayurveda) and Donna Farhi (for Advanced Yoga Studies).

Sagar was introduced to yoga at nine years old, and was coached by international yoga champion and coach Chandrakant Pangare in his youth. His training drew heavily from yoga legends such as B.K.S Iyengar, Dr Sharadchandra Bhalekar, and Dr Vishwas Mandlik. In 2018, he won three gold medals for Singapore at the Asian Yoga Championships. Sagar holds a diploma in Yoga Education and Advanced Yoga, and is also knowledgeable in Ayurveda — an Indian holistic system of medicine and nutrition. His classes integrate modern, traditional, and scientific approaches to yoga.

Lynn and Sumei have been co-teachers at COMO Shambhala for many years. They are Anusara-Inspired™ yoga teachers who have been practicing yoga since 2001. Lynn was a regular guest teacher at the Bali Spirit Festival, and Sumei has taught at large-scale outdoor events such as OmTogether and YogaBeat. Lynn and Sumei have also organised 200RYS and 300RYS Advanced Yoga Teacher Training programmes together.
