COMO Shambhala Cuisine is not about calorie counting. Rather, it is designed it to maximise personal performance, improve concentration and vitality, and calibrate blood-sugar levels.

With an emphasis on raw foods, natural flavours take centre stage. We serve meat, fish and vegetables in an array of culinary styles - ranging from Indonesian to Italian to Indian – combining indigenous food traditions and local produce with COMO Shambhala’s basic principles to create original recipes that speak to a specific location. Traditional fasting items include juices, broths, elixirs, vitamin boosts and organic teas.

At select properties, we also have resident nutrionists to help guide you towards a more balanced diet, as well as special introductory cookery workshops focusing on the importance of intelligent nutrition and new trends in spa cuisine.

In 2016, COMO Shambhala founder Mrs Christina Ong published ‘The Pleasures of Eating Well: Nourishing Favourites from the COMO Shambhala Kitchen’ - a compilation of signature COMO Shambhala Cuisine classics. Each recipe in the cookbook is designed to inspire the palate with memorable flavours whilst nourishing the body.
